New ICAN Coastal Atlas User Survey
ICAN has initiated a new Coastal Web Atlas User Survey (also linked above left under About ICAN. This survey is intended to collect vital information from the user community regarding the value and utility of currently available CWAs. The survey queries the CWA user community on their personal experiences with digital atlases within their state or region of interest. What works? What doesn’t? What’s needed? ICAN hopes to gain a perspective from which to prepare specific guidelines that address the do’s and don’ts in CWA development. This should continue to encourage and enhance the future development of CWAs around the globe.
The ICAN Coastal Web Atlas User Survey is accessible through the Internet at this link. For individuals who manage or maintain CWAs we hope you will consider placing this link on your atlas site to expand the number of responders in the near future.

We have reached the end of this fabulous week! Several participants of the ICAN workshop engaged in final discussions on the way forward, including a very detailed discussion and refinement of our list of ACTION ITEMS, and activities of the Technical Group in the coming months. Many of us then set off for Tivoli Gardens soon thereafter to enjoy lunch aboard their floating pirate ship restaurant(!) , the gardens, and the amusement park rides! Meanwhile, Kathy Belpaeme visited the Botanical Gardens and Liz O'Dea set off on a unique geocaching adventure around the city!

A final look at the EEA headquarters building where all of our events were held.
