ICAN in the Coastal Zone Management, Marine Science, and Geographic Information Science Communities:
In addition to the three workshops that ICAN has hosted ("Potentials and Limitations of Coastal Web Atlases," Cork, Ireland, 2006; "Coastal Atlas Interoperability," Corvallis, Oregon, USA, 2007; "Federated Coastal Atlases: Building on the Interoperable Approach," Copenhagen, Denmark, 2008), and "Formalizing the Network, Engaging the Mediterranean," Trieste, Italy, ICAN is now being represented at a variety of conferences and specialist meetings worldwide.
